Communications

The Communications Office is a component of the City Manager’s Office. The purpose of the Office is to effectively share information about Madera’s programs, projects, services, and events with residents, businesses, visitors, community organizations, and other stakeholders. In an emergency, the Communications Office helps disseminate vital information to ensure public safety.

  • City newsletters and publications

  • Website development, management, and maintenance

  • Oversight of City social media accounts

  • Media relations and communications

  • City Council broadcasts and archival services

  • Community outreach and engagement initiatives

  • Videography and photography services

  • Program marketing and promotion

  • Digital signage management

  • Document design and layout, including the City budget and official reports

  • Annual resident satisfaction surveys

Amateur and professional photo/videographers of all ages are invited to submit content they are proud of to showcase Madera's beautiful environment, active people and vibrant community life. If you have photographs or video content that you would like to share that fall within one of the categories below, we'd love to hear from you.

  2. Architectureurban design, cityscapes, landmarks & infrastructure
  3. Peopleportraits of residents and participants in city sponsored events & classes
  4. Communityscenes of education, volunteering, street/nightlife, arts & cultural events
  5. Businessribbon cuttings/grand opening events, local industry (agriculture, industrial, etc.)

Please include the following information with your submission:
1. First/last name
2. Contact phone number
3. Category of submission (1-5) above
4. Date/location content was captured

NOTE: Content with embedded captions, names and/or watermarks of any other sort can not be used. Please submit original content without these alterations. The city will add credit to any content it uses utilizing a standard format.

The Communications Department develops and manages content of and responds to comments on the City's primary social media accounts. We are committed to using social media tools to enhance communication, collaboration, and efficient information exchange. The City of Madera reserves the right to restrict or remove any content that is deemed in violation of the City's Social Media Policy or any applicable law.
