Trash and Recycling

Keeping Madera clean is a shared effort, and reliable waste collection is an important part of that. The City of Madera contracts with Mid Valley Disposal to provide residential and commercial trash, recycling, and green waste services throughout the community. By sorting waste properly and reducing what goes to the landfill, we can all help protect the environment and keep Madera looking its best.

Mid Valley Disposal offers curbside pickup, bulky item collection, and recycling programs designed to make it easy to manage your waste responsibly. Use the links on this page to view collection schedules, make service requests, or find information about what goes in each bin.

Please be advised that certain construction and demolition projects will be required to recycle or reuse at least 65% of the construction and demolition debris generated from projects. The City of Madera’s Municipal Code § 5-3.30 Construction and Demolition Debris Recycling was adopted in an effort to keep these materials out of the landfill as required by AB939 and the California Green Building Code (CALGreen).
