Accessible and Specialized Needs Programs

Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a joyful, active, and fulfilling life. The City of Madera is committed to providing inclusive recreational experiences through Specialized Needs Programs designed to ensure equal access for individuals with disabilities. These programs aim to enhance participants’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and social well-being in a supportive and engaging environment.

Working in partnership with community groups, the City offers a range of adaptive activities and services tailored to meet the unique needs of our residents.

The City of Madera Parks & Community Services, in partnership with Madera Special Needs Sports & Recreation, offers Adaptive Sports leagues and camps. These programs are designed for children with special needs, providing a welcoming, non-competitive, and inclusive environment. The goal is to help participants gain positive experiences and develop skills.
