How to Pay Your Utility Bill
The City of Madera offers several convenient ways to pay your utility bill. You can pay online through our Citizen Self Service (CSS) portal, by phone using our automated system, set up automatic payments from your bank account, mail in your payment, or use one of our secure drop boxes at City Hall or Fire Station #56. Whatever method you choose, we’re here to make the process as easy as possible.
Online Payment
If you haven't already, you'll need to gather the following information in order to register on the City's CSS portal:
- Your Account Number
- Your Customer ID Number (both can be found on your billing statement)
Once you have these details, register on the CSS portal to start managing your utility bill online.

Automated Phone Payment
Call (877) 360-3479 to pay via the automated phone system.
- Requires Account & Customer ID Numbers
- $3.85 convenience fee per transaction (charged by payment processor)
- Transaction limit: $500 per payment
